Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ
What is your mission?
To provide financial assistance to patients with cancer.

How do people contact the foundation?
Currently the foundation works with Cancer Centers of NC, WakeMED, Rex Hospital, Duke University Hospital, UNC Hospital, Waverly Oncology, as well as clinics in the area. Please talk with your social worker or oncologist and have them contact us.

What percentage of money raised goes to the patients?
Currently, 100% of the money donated by individuals goes to patients, however we may not be able to continue to do that. Our board and GlaxoSmithKline have been very generous by covering expenses for the foundation. Eventually, we will become bigger and will experience some overhead costs.

Do you do anything else?
Yes, we have started the  "Caring Community Kids." This committee is actioned to work on projects that teach children that they have the ability to help other children and other people. It doesn't always take money. Children create artwork and the artwork is transferred to quilts. These quilts are provided to children who are either going through cancer or have a family member going through cancer.

Do you have any paid employees?
No. Our organization is run 100% by volunteers who care and want to help!

How can I get more information?
